Join NASW Ohio in advocating for social workers and social justice! This committee is open to all - social workers, students, and non-social workers; NASW members & non-members - all committed to advocating in alignment with the NASW Code of Ethics & values. Why should you attend? - Stay up to date with what's happening with the Ohio legislature, specifically in regards to policy that will effects social workers and social services
- Learn more about how NASW Ohio is advocating on behalf of social workers
- Gain experience in macro advocacy work
- Take action to stop harmful legislation and support policies that align with social work values
- Help shape the legislative priorities of this group
While our hope to have long-term committee members, dedicated to carrying out this work, there is no mandated time commitment. You are welcome to attend just one meeting or all, and additional work outside of the meetings is opt-in, though that is where the work really gets done!
