This meeting is for LGBTQ+ and Ally social workers, social work students, and those aligned with the values social work to hold space for one another. This is a monthly event, occurring on the 1st Friday of each month, and is intended to help support LGBTQ+ social workers, provide resources, and help social workers better support their LGBTQ+ colleagues or clients. Rules for engagement - Be respectful and professional, with adherence to the Code of Ethics.
- Please ensure your name and pronouns on Zoom are accurate, and use the names and pronouns of others in the group.
- This is not a group therapy, group supervision, nor case consultation.
- It is a space to offer support to one another.
- Participants are bound by confidentiality and limits thereof (mandated reporting).
- Offer support and discussions of experiences with fellow workers.
- Mention content warnings if applicable before sharing.
- While there is room for different opinions on political topics, there is a zero tolerance policy for harmful speech that is oppressive to marginalized identities, as per our Code of Ethics.
- NASW Ohio reserves the right to remove any participants at any time from the space.
