In the summer of 2022 ASWB released demographic information on the pass rates for the social work licensure exams that demonstrate drastic inequity by race, age, and language. NASW Ohio has been exploring solutions including abolition of the exams and alternatives. While we pursue long-term strategies, we are taking the small step of offering free licensure prep courses for Ohio test-takers in 2023 while phasing out all our paid courses. This will eliminate all revenue to the Chapter that relates to the ASWB exams to reduce conflict of interest.
