The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Ohio’s Political Action for Candidate Election (PACE) Committee is committed to endorsing candidates that support the well-being of Ohioans and align with NASW's policy agenda. With the 2025 elections approaching, it’s crucial to know who stands for values that resonate with the social work profession and the people they serve. This guide highlights candidates that NASW Ohio PACE supports this election season. NASW Ohio PACE encourages members to vote for these candidates and support their campaigns through volunteer engagement and financial donations. 

Please note that a lack of endorsement for a candidate does not necessarily mean that the candidate did not align with social work values. Only candidates who answer a questionnaire from the committee are considered for endorsement.

Region 3 (Cleveland Area) Voter Guide

Rebecca Maurer for Cleveland City Council, Ward 5

Aurelio Diaz for Mansfield City Council Ward 5

Diaz, a Mansfield graduate and local business owner, is dedicated to uplifting his community through art, culture, and service. He founded a dance troupe for adults with developmental disabilities and is active in numerous local coalitions.
