We have BIG news at the Ohio Chapter! We are the recipient of a grant from Interact for Health to deepen our advocacy for workforce supports. Their generous funding is allowing us to hire a full-time Chapter staff member for the next two years (we will work to obtain ongoing funding for the position). This staff person will focus on raising insurance reimbursement rates to increase social workers' salaries, obtaining funding for paid internships for social work students, and looking into creating an alternative to the social work licensure exam. The salary is $65,000, offers benefits, and is based in Columbus, OH (not a remote position).
