This workshop prepares you to solve problems in high-risk settings. Much of the presentation is devoted to current and recently adopted licensing board rules, as well as new HIPAA rules, and their impact on your practice.


Effective Supervision: A learning and outcomes-based model presented by LaToya Logan
Supervision is a necessary function of behavioral health, not only to provide clinical oversight, but also to develop the clinician’s skills. This training will provide tools to support the learning process with examples of a learning contract and other documentation. This course will encourage supervisors to explore how they are impacted by their own and their supervisees’ cultures within the supervisory relationship. Furthermore, obstacles to supervisees’ success will be examined by taking into consideration the unique cultural context and history of the individual.


Ethics, Values, and Boundaries for Helping Professionals presented by Rachel Weaver
Ethical decision making for helping professionals occurs every day in a variety of settings. Many times, however, professionals find that legal, ethical, and personal standards come into conflict.
