About the workshop: In Ohio, school social work is a highly specialized field that often requires a dual licensure through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and the CSWMFT Board. This webinar will cover the typical duties of school social workers, the basics of licensure through ODE, documentation for school social work services including navigating FERPA & HIPAA and how social workers outside the school setting can best work with the school social workers employed by the district.

About the presenter: Rachel served on the Ohio School Social Work Association board since 2008. In addition to her board service, she is the district School Social Worker at Cuyahoga Heights Schools where she works closely with school teams to create PBIS programming, provides staff consultation and training on student mental health and behavior. She also conducts FBAs and creates behavior plans, conducts crisis interventions and provides ongoing mental health support to students.
