Tapping for Supervision Challenges: Emotional Freedom Technique - Introduction Course 1 (3 hours) (3 CEUs, not for supervision credit)

Course Description
This program is primarily experiential in nature and offers skill training to address supervisor challenges.

Attendees will learn evidence based Emotional Freedom Technique/EFT (also called Tapping) to increase self-awareness surrounding personal factors that influence supervisor challenges, the supervisory relationships which ultimately hinders effective treatment for the clients.

Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
1. Use EFT to identify personal factors that influence supervisor challenges and professionalism
2. Apply Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to lower anxiety before and after a supervisory challenge.
3. Demonstrate the nine EFT Meridian Tapping Points for “Simple EFT”

Agenda
Module 1
● Introduction and client antidotes regarding using EFT
● Needs identification: What do Attendees hope to receive from this program?
(20 minutes)
● Discuss conscious and unconscious beliefs/anxiety and how it impacts behavior, critical thinking and interactions with people. (Key Concept A)
● Discuss the Primitive Brain and its influence on the Fight Flight Freeze Response (Key Concept B)
● Discuss the influence of past Adverse Experiences. (Key Concept C)
● Learn how the body stores these experiences (Key Concept D)

● Instructional Scaffolding: Review Key Concepts A-D
(10 minutes)

● Individual Exercise 1: Paraphrase Key Concepts (A-D)
A. Conscious and unconscious beliefs/anxiety and the impact on behavior, critical thinking and interactions with people

D. Learn how the body stores these experiences

● Share with another or with group verbiage created from the above Individual Exercise 1
● Application: Make the connection how the information learned from the Key Concepts applies to one’s personal challenges as a supervisor

• Group discussion share verbiage from Individual Exercise 2 (Key Concepts of EFT)

ABOUT: Using Emotional Freedom Technique Tijana offers live experiential staff development programs, continuing education and corporate retreats. In addition, she also specializes by offering her EFT expertise to assist with trauma informed care, secondary trauma, unconscious bias and with those battling addiction. Her corporate work addresses unconscious bias as it relates to successful work teams, attitude and managing people. Tijana is one of a few certified EFT professionals who offers live EFT training within the United States for CEU’s and corporate engagements.
