About the Workshop: EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) came into being in the late 80’s. It is one of the best researched methods of trauma treatment. It is used for a wide variety of presenting issues. This presentation will help attendees make better informed decisions regarding when to refer clients for EMDR. It also will assist clinicians in deciding if they want to be trained in EMDR. Information will be given regarding what constitutes an approved training program.

About the Presenter: Helen Hill, LISW-S, was trained in EMDR 28 years ago. She is a Certified Clinician and Approved Consultant under the auspices of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). She is a trainer with EMDR Consulting LLC. She is in private practice in Columbus and specializes in treatment of adults with trauma issues.
