About the Webinar: A growing body of research is demonstrating that being able to name and claim the grief experience through writing and reflection is an enormous strength in our grief denying culture. As the old customs surrounding mourning all but disappear, and the misunderstandings around "stages of grief" abound, caregivers and the bereaved are very much alone during one of the most painful transitions that each of us has to navigate in this life. Kim Langley will share practical resources from her recently published book, Send My Roots Rain: A companion on the grief journey. Social workers will receive mindful activities, useful reflections and ready to go writing prompts. Participants in this high energy webinar will receive a rich cornucopia of ideas for how to enhance their facilitation skills in support groups and meetings for greater positive impact on grievers.
