About the Workshop: Grieving the loss of a loved one to death is difficult. When people are grieving this loss, it is considered an “acceptable” grief. What about “unacceptable” grief? The loss of a key relationship? The loss of the dream we had for ourselves or our family? The loss of a parent or loved one to alcohol, drug abuse, or mental illness? Clients navigate grief and loss in some surprising areas of their lives. We will explore how to help clients recognize grief and discuss a variety of practical techniques to help our clients move through grieving.
