6 CEUs for social workers and counselors, including ethics and supervision

As social workers, we are committed to making social justice a priority in any of our chosen fields. However, following through on this task can be challenging for those in direct service environments. This spring, NASW Ohio will bring a unique Anti-Oppression-Informed Practice certification program to five cities in Ohio, focusing on what case managers, therapists, supervisors, and other clinical workers can do to actively promote anti-oppression principles within direct practice.

This training will cover:

  • Anti-oppression terminology and definitions
  • Relevant direct practice frameworks, including psychotherapy models
  • Clinical skill-building
  • In-depth ethical exploration
  • Supervision and management skills
  • Institutional change and policy recommendations
  • Paperwork and billing options
  • Addressing client and co-worker bias
  • Burnout prevention and resilience-building

The training includes a certification as an Anti-Oppression Informed Practitioner. You will receive a decal of this image to display in your office. You will also be eligible to complete a short application and be listed on a directory of Anti-Oppression Informed Practitioners in Ohio so that potential clients can find you.

Join us for this first program of its kind in Ohio. Do more than check the box: make change happen!
